The Business School (BS) at Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics (ZUA) was established in 2019 through the merger of the former School of Accounting and the School of Business Administration. This move reflects ZUA's commitment to integrating a distinctive “aviation-oriented, engineering-management-integrated” educational approach. The school traces its history back to 1949 with the foundation of the Accounting and Business Administration departments. Today, the BS comprises eight academic divisions, including the Department of Accounting, Department of Business Administration, Department of Human Resource Management, and Department of Financial Management, offering diverse educational programs in economics and management disciplines.

The BS boasts a highly skilled faculty with a strong academic reputation. The school currently employs 162 staff members, including 137 full-time lecturers, among whom there are 20 professors, 58 associate professors, and 66 doctorate holders. Additionally, 86 faculty members serve as graduate supervisors. Numerous faculty members have earned prestigious national and provincial honors in teaching and research, such as National Excellent Teacher awards and recognition as Central China and Henan Provincial Teaching Masters. The school offers a master's degree program in Business Administration, with sub-disciplines in Accounting and Enterprise Management, alongside professional master's programs in Accounting, Auditing, and Business Administration (MBA). At the undergraduate level, the BS has developed seven programs, including three specialized tracks, with four of its programs, such as Accounting and Human Resource Management, recognized as national first-class undergraduate programs.

In academic research, the BS has sustained its standing as a key academic area within Henan Province, with the Business Administration discipline consistently included in the province’s list of priority disciplines. The school has established multiple provincial research platforms, such as the Henan Province Auditing Development Research Center and the Central China Digital Economy and Innovation Management Research Base. In recent years, the faculty has led numerous high-level research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation grants, National Social Science Fund projects, and Ministry of Education humanities and social science research projects. The faculty has published over 600 academic papers, with 33 indexed in SCI, SSCI, or EI, and has won multiple provincial and ministerial research awards.

The BS emphasizes cultivating students’ practical skills and innovative spirit. The school operates advanced facilities, including an Accounting Experimental Teaching Center, a Business Administration Experimental Center, and the Henan Province Finance and Auditing Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center. These platforms host multiple teaching projects and cutting-edge equipment. Through long-term partnerships with leading aviation enterprises, accounting firms, and other professional organizations, the BS has deepened its school-enterprise collaboration to support the training of application-oriented talent. In recent years, BS students have received numerous accolades in national and provincial competitions, including first prizes and grand prizes in the National Business Elite Challenge and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competitions.

Graduates from the BS consistently achieve high rankings in terms of both employment and further educational advancement. They have gone on to make contributions across a range of industries, including aviation, manufacturing, regional economic development, and government sectors. The school has produced a wealth of distinguished alumni who have secured leadership roles across academia and business, earning widespread recognition for the school.

Dedicated to aligning its programs with the needs of the aviation industry and regional economic development, the BS focuses on market-driven curriculum design, fostering talent with practical skills, innovative thinking, and global perspectives. With high standards for academic and teaching excellence, the BS is committed to contributing to the development of the global business education framework in the new era.
